During the regular sitting of February 17, 2022, the Government of the Republic of Armenia by the decision No. 182-N approved the rules of professional ethics of the healthcare professionals.

The aim of the reforms is to regulate the relations related to the ethical requirements for senior, middle and junior healthcare professionals in the Republic of Armenia in the context of relations between healthcare professionals and patients and healthcare professionals in general, as well as the ethical requirements for healthcare professionals in the field of public health protection. The adoption of the legal act will greatly improve the quality of medical care and services provided to patients.

The elaboration of the decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia on approving the "Rules of Professional Ethics of the Healthcare Professional" was carried out with the support of the expert group of the Council of Europe’s project on "Protection of Human Rights in Biomedicine" in Armenia.
