World Forum for Democracy 2021

World Forum for Democracy 2021

The World Forum for Democracy is a unique platform organised by the Council of Europe in the city of Strasbourg, where political decision-makers and activists debate solutions to key challenges for democracies.

The Bern Convention has developed its #VoicesOfNature Campaign during this year, and this culminated in participation at the World Forum for Democracy in the form of two activities:

  1. The first was a Forum Talk on the topic of “Linking Biodiversity, Climate Change and a Healthy Environment”.
  2. The second featured two initiatives supported by the Bern Convention during a Forum Lab on the theme “Better together: Engaging communities for nature conservation and protection”.

Photos and the video of each event can be found in the links above, and for more information, check out the press release of the event here.
