The Council of Europe Office in Belgrade and the UNHCR are organising the information session on the European Qualifications Passport for Refugees with the participation of the Special Representative of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe on migration and refugees, Drahoslav Štefánek, on Tuesday, 14 September 2021 starting from 10:00, at the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Belgrade, Bulevar umetnosti 18.

The European Qualifications Passport for Refugees is a document providing an assessment of the higher education qualifications based on available documentation and a structured interview. It also presents information on the applicant’s work experience and language proficiency. The document provides reliable information for integration and progression towards employment and admission to further studies of refugees.

It is a specially developed assessment scheme for refugees, even for those who cannot fully document their qualifications.

The event begins at 10:00 and is open to media. Interested media representatives should register by sending an e-mail to [email protected] no later than 14:00 on 13 September.
