Back Azerbaijan: brochure on myths and facts on the Istanbul Convention

Azerbaijan: brochure on myths and facts on the Istanbul Convention

The Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence, known as the Istanbul Convention, aims to ensure all women can live a life free from violence. Nevertheless, many misconceptions still exist about its aim and objectives.

This new brochure will help to shine  light on what the Istanbul Convention really wants to achieve, and to help dispel myths and misinformation about it.

The brochure is available in English and Azerbaijani.

This brochure was developed in the framework of the project “Raising awareness of the Istanbul Convention and other gender equality standards in Azerbaijan,” funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe in their Partnership for Good Governance II 2019-2022.

For further information on the project, please visit the project’s website.

Further information on Partnership for Good Governance II is available on the PGGII website.
