The CAHAI-COG discusses the main findings of the CAHAI multi-stakeholder consultation at its June meeting

The Consultation and Outreach Group (CAHAI-COG) discussed the main findings of the CAHAI multi-stakeholder consultation in its meeting of 22-23 June 2021. The consultation was open from 30 March 2021 to 9 May 2021 and was based on a questionnaire approved at the 4th CAHAI plenary meeting. Information on the consultation is available on the multi-stakeholder consultation dedicated webpage.

260 replies were received in the framework of the consultation, based on a balanced geographical representation across Europe, with replies coming evenly from civil society, the private business sector, government and public administration, academic and scientific community.

The report on the consultation will be discussed at the upcoming CAHAI Plenary meeting on 5-7 July 2021, which will also decide on the next steps and possible implications for the work of CAHAI Legal Framework Group, which is currently preparing the main elements of a new legal framework on artificial intelligence based on Council of Europe’s standards on human rights, democracy and the rule of law.
