COMIC Gordana

Ms Comic was born in 1958 in Novi Sad. She studied at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Institute of Physics, and worked at the University of Novi Sad at the Faculty of Technical Sciences. She was a Member of Parliament from 2000 to 2020, elected on the list of the Democratic Party, vice-president of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in the period 2001-2004 and 2008-2020. As of May 13, 2020, she is not a member of any political party.

She was the president of the Committee for Foreign Policy of the National Assembly (2004-2008), as well as a member of the delegation of the National Assembly to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, where she was elected as the rapporteur of the Committee for Human Rights, Democracy and Humanitarian Affairs from 2006 to 2016.As the founder of the Women's Parliamentary Network of the National Assembly and a member of the women's movement in Serbia, she played a role in the fight for equality and equal participation of women in all decision-making positions in Serbian society.
