The 24th meeting of the Committee of the Parties of the Council of Europe Convention on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings was held in Strasbourg on 5 April 2019.

The Committee elected Ambassador Corina Călugăru as Chair and Ambassador Christopher Yvon as Vice-Chair for a first term of office, running until 5 April 2020.

The Committee adopted recommendations addressed to the Governments of Iceland, Italy and San Marino as part of the second evaluation round of the Convention.

The Committee also considered reports submitted by Belgium, France, North Macedonia, Poland, Serbia and Slovenia concerning measures taken to comply with the Committee of the Parties’ second round recommendations on the implementation of the Convention. The Committee decided to send letters to these parties, asking them to provide further information on certain issues. The reports will be made public on the Council of Europe’s Anti-Trafficking website.

The Committee decided to hold its 25th meeting on 18 October 2019.
