To mark the 11th European Day against Trafficking in Human Beings, the Council of Europe, in partnership with the City of Strasbourg, the Préfet de la Région Grand Est and the Academy of Strasbourg, organise a public event entitled "Child trafficking: new faces of slavery, in France as well".
The event aims to raise public awareness of the problem of human trafficking and the particular risks faced by children. Students from several secondary schools in Strasbourg and their teachers are invited to watch documentaries about different forms of human trafficking and listen to a debate with the participation of experts, civil society activists and front-line actors. During the school year, the students will work on a project related to combating human trafficking, the results of which will be presented at the Council of Europe in the spring of 2018.
