The Group of Experts on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings (GRETA) held its 29th meeting from 3 to 7 July 2017 in Strasbourg.
During this meeting, GRETA adopted final second round reports on Belgium, Ireland and Poland, as well as a final first round report on Greece. These reports will be sent to the authorities concerned and will subsequently be made public, together with eventual final comments by the authorities.
GRETA also approved draft second round reports on Serbia, Slovenia and “the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia”. GRETA decided to transmit these draft reports to the national authorities concerned and to ask them to submit their comments within two months. The comments will be taken into account when GRETA draws up its final evaluation reports. GRETA’s draft reports remain confidential until their final adoption.
In the context of this meeting, GRETA held an exchange of views Mr Mykola Gnatovskyy, President of the European Committee for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment (CPT).
An exchange of views on the provision of training on issues related to human trafficking also took place between GRETA and Ms Kim Ann Williamson, Inclusion and Community Engagement Manager, Member of Wales Anti-Slavery Leadership Group.
