The Guide on Admissibility of Evidence developed jointly by national and international consultants was presented on 28 September 2022 to the members of the Working group under the Turkish Ministry of Justice.
The Project Working Group on Procedural Safeguards, created to facilitate the work of Turkish judiciary in the field of fairness of proceedings and assessment of evidence, gathered to discuss the Guide on Admissibility of Evidence. The Guide aims to serve as a practical tool for judges to support implementation of the standards of the European Court of Human Rights in regard to admissibility and reasoning of evidence used in the criminal proceedings.
During the meeting, members of the Working Group shared their comments on the Guide to enrich its content and ensure better sustainability.
This activity was organised under the EU/CoE Joint Project “Strengthening the Criminal Justice System and the Capacity of Justice Professionals on Prevention of the European Convention on Human Rights Violations”.
