Within the framework of the Project on “Strengthening Judicial Ethics in Turkey”, the second meeting of the Working Group established to draft a code of ethics in Turkey was held in Haymana, Turkey on 12-14 January 2017, with the participation of seventeen participants including judges, prosecutors, and inspectors.
The meeting was divided into three separate groups for judges, prosecutors and inspectors, who worked on ethical rules specific to their professions and started to determine the special provisions to be included in the code of judicial ethics which will be adopted as a single document.
In addition to judges, prosecutors and inspectors, three international experts participated in the second Working Group meeting and presented a comparative review of how the drafted ethical principles have been reflected in relevant international documents.
Third meeting of the Working Group will be held on 24-26 January 2017.
