Under the scope of the Joint Project on Improving the Effectiveness of the Administrative Judiciary and Strengthening the Institutional Capacity of the Council of State, a focus group meeting was held with moderation of Prof Dr Zehra Odyakmaz on 3 September 2021 at the Ankara University Faculty of Law.
Hosting 13 participants, comprising of lawyers, citizens, academics, former members of judiciary and CSO representatives, the meeting aimed to analyse in-depth the perception on the physical structure, human resources and technical facilities of administrative and tax courts, and to discuss workload problems and solutions in administrative judiciary.
The Joint Project on Improving the Effectiveness of the Administrative Judiciary and Strengthening the Institutional Capacity of the Council of State is co-funded by the European Union, the Council of Europe and the Republic of Turkey, and implemented by the Council of Europe. The Turkish Ministry of Justice - Directorate General for Legal Affairs is the end beneficiary of the Project. The Central Finance and Contracts Unit is the contracting authority of this Project.
