From 16 to 17 November 2022, the Council of Europe Group on Access to information (AIG) held its first meeting in presence of its members :
Mr Kestutis ANDRIJAUSKAS; Mr Inge Lorange BACKER; Ms Biljana BOŽIĆ; Ms Veronica CRETU; Ms Helena JÄDERBLOM; Ms Thordis INGADOTTIR; Ms Päivi Hannele KORPISAARI; Mr Ivar TALLO; Mr Attila PÉTERFALVI; and Ms Tetyana OLEKSIYUK.
At this meeting, the AIG elected its Chair and Vice-Chair, adopted its Rules of Procedures, including the evaluation procedure, and discussed its workplan.
The Tromsø Convention guarantees a right to access official documents to everyone. The AIG, established under Article 11 of the Convention, is the body responsible for monitoring the implementation of the Convention by its Parties.
