El Premio se concede en honor y memoria del eminente profesor de derecho y político italiano, Stefano Rodotà, que trabajó durante toda su vida para promover los derechos fundamentales, en particular para el desarrollo y la aplicación del derecho a la protección de datos en Europa, dejando una huella indeleble en la elaboración de la política europea en este ámbito.
CONCURSO
The Stefano Rodotà Award honours innovative and original academic research projects in the field of data protection.
The competition is open to students and researchers from members or observers of the Committee of Convention 108.
The Jury of the Stefano Rodotà Award is composed of the members of the Bureau of the Committee of Convention 108.
Each year, the selected research is unveiled on Data Protection Day, 28 January. The winner has the opportunity to present his/her work at the following plenary session of the Committee of Convention 108.
