Italy: Coordination meeting with national representatives of the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe

On June 7, the Secretariat of the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe programme took part in an online coordination meeting with representatives of Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe crossing Italy. The meeting was organised by the Ministry of Culture of Italy and the Fondazione Scuola dei beni e delle attività culturali.

Ms. Alessandra Vittorini, Director of the Foundation School of Cultural Heritage and Activities; Mr. Paolo Verdone, Director of Service III International Relations of the General Secretariat of Ministry of Culture and Mr. Stefano Dominioni, Executive Secretary of the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe and Director of the European Institute of Cultural Routes opened the meeting.

Italy has been a member of the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe since 2011. Of the 45 certified Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe, 29 pass through Italy.

The meeting brought together 18 representatives of certified Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe, which presented their activities and practical suggestions to further develop the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe in Italy. The objectives of a new Collaboration Agreement between the Ministry of Culture of Italy and the Fondazione Scuola dei beni e delle attività culturali were also presented to help promote the programme at the national level.
