The European Dialogue on Internet Governance (Eurodig) is taking place in The Hague on 19-20 June 2019 having as overarching theme: “Cooperating in the Digital Age”.

The Data Protection Unit is bringing its expertise on internet governance related privacy issues and is pleased to be part of a larger Council of Europe delegation, led by Jan Kleijssen, Director of the Information Society and Action against Crime Directorate.

Participating in a work shop entitled: “GDPR Implementation – Blind spots, opportunities, and the way forward” organised by Article 19 and Ranking Digital Rights, Peter Kimpian highlighted the main intersections of the European Union legislation on the right to privacy and data protection with Convention 108 and the convergence towards a high set of privacy principles enabling to tackle collective challenges in the Digital Age.
