WHAT is the goal?

The goal of the project “Promoting Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanisms in Georgia” is to enhance the use of mediation mechanisms by citizens in Georgia.

What do we expect to achieve?

  • Improving access to mediation of the users and the quality of mediation on civil cases in Georgia;
  • Enlarging the use of restorative justice as a resolution mechanism by the National Agency for Crime Prevention, Execution of Non-custodial Sentences and Probation.

WHAT IS THE BUDGET OF THE PROJECT?

The total budget of the project amounts to EUR 560 000.

Victim-offender mediation is an alternative and voluntary measure of dispute resolution, aimed at fostering dialogue between the offender and the victim. Mediation is conducted in a safe and neutral environment in full confidentiality.

The graphic video has been developed within the framework of the Council of Europe project "Promoting Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanisms in Georgia", in cooperation with the National Agency for Crime Prevention, Execution of Non-custodial Sentences and Probation. The video is based on a real story.
