The Council of Europe’s Roma and Travellers Team in co-operation with the Croatian Government Office for Human Rights and Rights of National Minorities are organising an expert seminar on the transition of Roma young people from education to employment and working life. The national level event is scheduled to the place from 4-6 September 2019 in Marija Bistrica in Croatia.

The main aim of the event is to assess the existing legislation, policy, and practice in Croatia and to develop strategic orientations for enabling inclusive transition of young Roma from education to employment and working life. The seminar is organised as a follow-up to the international expert seminar organised on the Brijuni Islands under the Croatian Chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe in 2018.
