France: Minister in charge of European Affairs chairs citizen consultation on culture

On Thursday 24th May, in the Grand Salon of the Town Hall of Nancy, was held a citizen consultation entitled "Rethinking heritage and citizen engagement: the example of cultural routes of the Council of Europe". At the invitation of the Mayor of Nancy, Mr. Laurent Hénart, Mrs. Nathalie Loiseau, Minister in charge of European Affairs of France chaired this citizen consultation which took place in the framework of the "May of Europe", an operation organized since 2002 and placed this year under the patronage of the Minister. For this edition, the Town Hall of Nancy chose to put forward citizen consultations on Europe and the theme of European culture.

The citizen consultation was followed by a Conference on Cultural Routes with a presentation of the Council of Europe's Cultural Routes Programme by Stefano Dominioni; Executive Secretary of the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe, and Mrs. Valérie THOMAS, Chief Curator of the Museum de l’Ecole of Nancy and member of the "Réseau Art Nouveau Network", certified as Cultural Route by the Council of Europe in 2014.
