The World for Ukraine Summit will be held in Rzeszow, Poland, from 7 to 9 December 2022, under the patronage of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Marija Pejčinović Burić, and with the participation of the President of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities, Leendert Verbeek.
The Summit will address key aspects of international humanitarian assistance to Ukraine and aims to strengthen cooperation between non-governmental organisations, local authorities, businesses and government institutions. It will bring together more than 70 NGOs, representatives of national authorities, as well as mayors of small and medium-sized Ukrainian cities willing to establish partnerships with European cities in order to develop reconstruction and capacity building projects.
The Congress of the Council of Europe encourages its members to participate in this event and engage in partnerships with Ukrainian cities.
