Strasbourg, 23.03.2012 – Council of Europe Secretary General Thorbjørn Jagland will meet with President Dmitry Medvedev and Foreign Affairs Minister Sergey Lavrov on 23 March in Moscow. Discussions will focus on the political reforms proposed by President Medvedev. They will also concern recent Venice Commission opinions on the election of Duma deputies, the registration and control of political parties and freedom of assembly in Russia.

Mr Jagland will also address the “Euro-Atlantic Community of Security – Myth or Reality?” conference.
