Theme:
"How do you imagine the European citizen of the future". This common
title is intended to spur the imagination of younger children and leaves
the possibility for more complex treatment.
Length:
Essays are a maximum of 1000 words
Participants:
Young people 10-18 years old
Jury:
A national jury received and assessed submissions in order to select a
winning national essay. The jury was formed bearing in mind the proposed
theme and the fact that the competition forms part of the 60th
anniversary of the Council of Europe.
Prize:
Each national winner was awarded a diploma by the Council of Europe
and invited to receive it at the 60th anniversary commemorative event in
Strasbourg on 1 October 2009.
