The Secretary General of the Council of Europe welcomes the strategy for reforms in Ukraine announced by President Poroshenko. “Many of the priorities identified in the President’s strategy relate to reforms which the Council of Europe has for many years deemed indispensable. The reform of the judiciary, the fight against corruption, the decentralization and the reform of  the law enforcement agencies need to be pursued rapidly. In parallel with constitutional reform this will consolidate the progress achieved to date. The Council of Europe, and my special adviser on Ukraine, are fully committed to support the reform process”, he said.
