About the action "End violence againt women"

The action ‘End Violence Against Women’ is a public interest initiative of the Council of Europe to mark the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women – 25 November.

The aim of the action is to draw the attention of decision-makers and the general public to the issues, and to highlight the specific role of the Council of Europe’s Istanbul Convention as a pragmatic tool that can be used to structure and encourage the state in its responsibility to prevent violence against women, protect victims and prosecute the perpetrators.

The action is coordinated by the Council of Europe’s Directorate of Communications.

The Human Rights Channel is a platform for videos and other audio-visual content created and maintained by the Directorate of Communications.
