The aim of the four-day Initial Training on Asset Recovery is to acquaint twenty newly recruited staff of Ukraine’s Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) with key international standards, processes and tools involved in the recovery of proceeds of coruption. The relevant domestic legislative and institutional frameworks are also subjects of discussions in the course of the training. The interventions by the Council of Europe’s international experts focus on open source intelligence; good practices in respect of asset seizure, confiscations and return; and models of asset recovery and management offices and their networks.

The Council of Europe has organised this training within the framework of the CoE/EU Partnership for Good Governance (PGG) Project “Fight against Corruption in Ukraine” – Open Advisory Facility and in cooperation with ARMA and the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
