The Council of Europe in Cooperation with the Czech Financial Analytical Unit organised a conference on “Corruption risks in the financing of political parties and election campaigns”. The conference which will be attended by representatives of the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Finance and other representatives of authorities in the Czech Republic will address some of the most recent developments in the field of financing of political parties and election campaigns in the country.
Council of Europe and Czech experts will have the opportunity to discuss on the draft legislation on financing of political parties in the Czech Republic, the latest GRECO evaluation of the country and share good practices on regulation and monitoring of political party and election campaign financing in CoE member states. Furthermore a comparative analysis of the systems for “Election campaign financing and the candidacy of individual candidates” will be presented by a Council of Europe expert. The document outlines the international standards, analyses the systems of election campaign financing including the financing of campaigns of individual candidates in five CoE Member States.
