High Level Conference on the Future
of the European Court of Human Rights

Brighton, United Kingdom, 18-20 April 2012


The Conference aims to achieve agreement on a political declaration on a package of reforms of the European Court of Human Rights between Ministers of the 47 member States of the Council of Europe.

On the Wednesday evening before the conference, an informal drinks reception will be held in Brighton for arriving delegations.

Formal meetings will commence on the Thursday morning. Lunch will be served at the conference centre itself, and a formal dinner will be held for heads of delegation and other invited dignitaries that evening. Other delegation members and conference guests will be invited to a separate dinner event.

Friday will be the final day of conference business, concluding by lunch. Delegates will be free to make their own arrangements for Friday lunch.
