      Further to decisions and discussions at its first meeting, the Group is invited to exchange views on the question of the advantages and disadvantages of the current system. In doing so, it is invited to recall the following:

        - The need to undertake an analysis of the effects of the implementation of Protocol No. 14 on the situation of the Court;
        - The need to analyse the current system’s capacity to respond to expected future challenges, as identified at the first meeting;
        - The fact that conclusions on this question should inform subsequent examination of the possibilities for preserving and reinforcing the current system (see Item 4 below) and of the possible need for and necessary features of any alternative models (to be examined at the next meeting).

      It is then invited to appoint a Rapporteur to prepare, on the basis of the results of the foregoing discussions, draft text for inclusion in the relevant section of the CDDH Final Report.

      Further to decisions and discussions at its first meeting, the Group is invited to exchange views on the question of possibilities for preserving and reinforcing the current system. In doing so, it is invited to recall the following:

        - The need to assess whether such possibilities would be sufficient to ensure the long-term effectiveness of the Convention system for protection of human rights in the face of the expected future challenges identified at the first meeting;
        - The fact that conclusions on this question should inform subsequent examination of the possible need for and necessary features of any alternative models, to be examined at the next meeting.

      It is then invited to appoint a Rapporteur to prepare, on the basis of the results of the foregoing discussions, draft text for inclusion in the relevant section of the CDDH Final Report.

Item 6: Organisation of future work

    The Group is invited to take any further decisions necessary to the organisation of its future work, including the identification of further ‘ad hoc experts’ to be invited to attend future meetings.
