About Evaluations

In accordance with Article 36 paragraph 1 of the Council of Europe Convention on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings [CETS No.197], the Group of Experts on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings (GRETA) "shall monitor the implementation of this Convention by the Parties”.

1st Evaluation Round

The first evaluation round was launched in February 2010, when the questionnaire was sent to the first ten countries which became Parties to the Convention. Following the timetable set by GRETA (see below), the Parties were requested to submit their replies by 1 September 2010. GRETA has published its evaluation reports on these Parties to the Convention.

2nd Evaluation Round


In 2013 GRETA will start discussions concerning the preparation of the 2nd Evaluation Round.
