[03/09/2013]  The European Council of Police Trade Unions (CESP) lodges a complaint against France: European Council of Police Trade Unions (CESP) v. France, Complaint No. 101/2013.

The complaint was registered on 10 June 2013. It relates to the right to organise (Article 5 of the Charter) and the right to bargain collectively (Article 6 of the Charter).

The complainant organisation alleges that France, by conferring on virtually all members of the National Gendarmerie military status, prevents the said officers from enjoying full trade unions rights and the right to bargain collectively, in breach of the aforementioned Articles 5 and 6 of the Revised European Social Charter.
