Action against economic crime


T-CY Public Hearing: 3 June 2013, Strasbourg, France



Objective


The T-CY sought the views of private sector entities and civil society:

  • on current practices and experiences regarding transborder access to data
  • on a possible Additional Protocol to the Budapest Convention on Cybercrime.

Participants


The hearing was open to representatives of civil society organisations, Internet Service Providers (including ISP associations), social media, cloud service providers, e-commerce platforms, online payment services, members and observers in the Cybercrime Convention Committee (T-CY) and other interested stakeholders.


Written comments


Participants were invited to submit written contributions with regard to:

  • their understanding and practical experience of article 32 b of the Convention
  • their views and experience for enhanced possibilities for transborder access to data.
