6th session of the Conference of Prosecutors General of Europe -
Budapest (Hungary), 29-31 May 2005
"The relationship between public prosecutors and the police"
The
Conference was organised in cooperation with the Prosecutor
general of Hungary and brought together high level prosecutors
from all Council of Europe member States.
The main
theme of the Conference was: “The relationship between public
prosecutors and the police”. Other important themes concerned:
the prosecutors' competencies outside the criminal field and the
Guidelines of ethics and conduct for public prosecutors.
In
preparation to the Conference, its coordinating Bureau prepared
two questionnaires with a view to collecting information
concerning the present situation of Public Prosecution in Europe
with regard to the themes addressed at the Conference.
