"International co-operation in the criminal justice field"
Organised
by the
Consultative Council of European Prosecutors (CCPE) in co-operation with the
Polish Ministry of Justice, the European Conference of Prosecutors met
in Warsaw (Poland) on 4 and 5 June 2007.
Prosecutors from the 47 Council of Europe member states discussed
ways of intensifying co-operation between prosecution services in the
criminal justice field, and so targeting serious crime – including
kidnapping, terrorism, trafficking in human beings and clandestine
labour – more effectively.
The Council of Europe Consultative Council of European Prosecutors
will draw on their conclusions in preparing an opinion on international
co-operation in the criminal justice field for adoption in 2007.
The conference was held in Warsaw at the invitation of the National
Training Centre for judges and legal officials. Zbigniew Ziobro,
Minister of Justice and Prosecutor General of Poland, delivered one of
the opening addresses.
