- The overall objective of the project is to support the establishment of a professional, effective and efficient high security prison in line with European standards.
- The project aims to contribute to the development of the recruitment, staff selection and training procedures to be applied at the State prison and enhance the level of professionalism of the staff.
- The planned project activities include the assistance in drafting the recruitment strategy for the State prison, developing new or adapting existing training programmes to the needs of the high security prison, accompanied by training materials, tools and manuals and providing training to all categories of the State prison staff. The project seeks to give further guidance for the organisation and management of the State prison in accordance with the national legislation, the European Prison Rules and the CPT standards by drafting a Manual.
