| The Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee visits the Council of Europe | ||||
An
exchange of views with Mr Wojciech Sawicki, Secretary General of the
Parliamentary Assembly and Nino Tsotsoria, the Georgian judge at the European
Court of Human Rights, are on the agenda of the study visit for members of the
Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee of the Parliament of Georgia,
organised by the Council of Europe, with the support of the Embassy of the
Netherlands to Georgia. The study visit will take place in Strasbourg on 28 and
29 January 2012 and aims to acquaint the members of the Parliamentary Committee
with the standards of the Council of Europe to the benefit of their legislative
work. The delegation of the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee will
also meet with representatives of the Committee for the Prevention of Torture (CPT),
the office of the Human Rights Commissioner, the Department of the European
Social Charter and the Venice Commission, as well as Ellen Berends, Ambassador
of the Netherlands to the Council of Europe.
