The Council of Europe together with the Training Centre of the
Georgian Bar Association announces a call for applications to participate in a
seminar on the topic of “Anti-discrimination under the European Convention on
Human Rights- protections against discrimination on the grounds of religion,
opinion, association”. The seminar takes place in the framework of the
European Union and Council of Europe Joint Programme
“Strengthening the capacity of lawyers and human rights defenders for domestic
application of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) and of the Revised
European Social Charter (RESC)”.
The seminar will take place on 17-18 December in Tbilisi and will
be delivered by a well-known European and Georgian experts.
Applicants should be practising lawyers, human
rights defenders or law students who have basic knowledge of international human
rights law, in particular the ECHR and the case-law of the European Court of
