|Working Group Meeting on Drafting of Strategy and Action Plan of Penitentiary and Probation Training Centre (PPTC)|
13 January 2012, the working group charged with drafting a Strategy and Action
Plan for the Penitentiary and Probation Training Centre
for its second meeting at the Office of the Council of Europe in Georgia. The
work of the group has focused on further development of the objectives of the
draft Strategy and concrete activities for the Action Plan, in line with the
standards of the Council of Europe. This activity has been conducted in the
framework of the Denmark’s Georgia Programme 2010-2013 “Promotion of Judicial
Reform, Human and Minority Rights”.
There will be two additional meetings in February and March 2012, followed by a round table in March 2012, when the draft Strategy and Action Plan will be presented to the Minister of Corrections and Legal Assistance of Georgia for further consideration, adoption and implementation.
