In 2012 the Centre will provide support for the adoption of
ELOGE by the city of Florence. The local administration of
Florence will also be directly involved in a peer review
with other cities aimed at assessing its capacities in the
way they provide public service and exercise public
authority with a view to improving its capacities in these
areas. The involvement of other cities, such as Milan and
Turin, is under consideration while the participation of the
cities of Padua and Verona is currently being negotiated.
The organisation of a Conference on IMC in Cadore, a
mountainous area situated in the Veneto Region not far from
the Austrian border is also under consideration. The aim of
the conference will be to support local authorities in
merging public services as foreseen by the new regional
legislation. In this occasion best practices from the Ticino
Canton will be presented. The conference is supported by the
Regional Council and other local stakeholders
