triangle Visitors' reception

Internal and external visitors will be received by appointment. Appointments may be made on working days between 9 am and midday depending on the availability of the Archives team.

In order to offer a quality service to users, external visitors should send their request for an appointment at least two weeks before the date on which they wish to visit. The request should be transmitted by e-mail to archives@coe.int and should set out the purpose of the research, the subject, the period concerned and a list of the documents or files to be used.

Staff of the Council of Europe should use the Multiservice Assistant for their enquiries.

All users are urged to check that electronic versions of the documents they wish to see are not provided on line, from the available tools and databases:

- Search and indexing tools
- Online Council of Europe documents – directory of links

The conditions for using the Archives are described in the Rules of the Council of Europe Archives Helpdesk for further information.
