(Armenia, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine)

Ministers of Education from Armenia, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine met at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg on 12-13 December with the objective of stepping up reforms of their higher education systems in line with the Bologna Process.
The main purpose of this Conference was to address the issues linked to the implementaiton of the Bologna Process, which these countries joined in 2005.

Topics included quality assurance, qualifications frameworks and national action plans for recognition. Stock taking of the progress achieved so far will also be included in the programme, in order to prepare the Ministers for the next Ministerial Conference of the Bologna Process, scheduled to take place in London in May 2007.
