Quattro Volte wins the First Prize at the Reykjavik Festival and triumphs in Annecy!

The Reykjavik Festival which ended yesterday in the Icelandic capital chose to award its first prize, the "Golden Puffin Award", aimed at awarding the first or second film, to the film Le Quattro Volte by Michaelangeo Frammartino, a co-production between Italy, Switzerland and Germany supported by Eurimages. The Jury was won over by this film “nicely conceived and shot which managed to move without a single dialogue and with unexpected humour”. This same film also received the Grand Prize of the 28th edition of Annecy’s Italian Cinema Festival which ended on 5 October 2010 ; finally, the jury CICAE (Confédération Internationale des Cinémas d’Art et d’Essai) also rewarded Le Quattro Volte by Michelangelo Frammartino, a film revealed at the Director’s Fortnight of Cannes where it received the Europa Cinemas Label.

  • Following the decision of the Eurimages Board of Management meeting in 2009 to carry out in 2014 a study on the functioning and results of the Fund, the Olsberg SPI company established in the United Kingdom has just published its report which you will find here. As an independent study, the contents of this document do not bind or commit in any way the Council of Europe and the Eurimages Fund. The Fund’s Board of Management will now study the recommendations proposed by the Olsberg SPI company.

  • From 1 January 2014, the rules for Eurimages Co-production funding have been modified.

  • Please note that as from 1 January 2014, Bosnia-Herzegovina is no longer eligible for distribution support.  However, as Switzerland is no longer eligible for support from Creative Europe – MEDIA, they are eligible for distribution support from Eurimages.
