The award winners of the 11th edition of the "Etoiles et Toiles" of European Cinema event

At the close of the festival which gave Strasbourg audiences an opportunity to discover 10 real gems of European cinema, all co-produced with the support of Eurimages, the Jury of the “Etoiles et Toiles” of European Cinema event, comprising 8 Permanent Representatives of the Council of Europe and the Executive Director of Eurimages, Mr Roberto Olla, revealed the award winners during a ceremony which was held on Tuesday 26 October at the Odyssée cinema in the presence of Jobst Plog, President of Eurimages:
The Odyssée cinema/Council of Europe Human Rights prize was awarded to the film “La révélation” (Storm), by Hans-Christian Schmid, a co-production between Germany, Netherlands and Denmark.
The special prize for artistic creation was awarded to the film “Le Ruban Blanc” (The White Ribbon), by Michael Haneke, a co-production between Germany, Italy, France and Austria.

Info for exhibitors

  • From 1 January 2016, the rules for Eurimages' support for theatres have been modified. A theatre that wishes to join the network must apply before 30 June at 6pm of the current year for an accession the following year.

    Full participation in the Creative Europe-Media Sub-programme is announced for 2016 for “the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia”, Albania and Serbia. Therefore these countries will no longer be eligible for Eurimages’ theatre support programme.

    Only theatres located in Eurimages member states that do not have access to support under the Creative Europe MEDIA programme are eligible for the Eurimages programme of support for theatres: Armenia, Georgia, Russian Federation, Switzerland and Turkey.

     

Info for distributors

  • From 1 January 2016, the rules for Eurimages' support for distribution have been modified.

    Full participation in the Creative Europe-Media Sub-programme is announced for 2016 for “the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia”, Albania and Serbia. Therefore these countries will no longer be eligible for Eurimages’ distribution support programmes.

    This support is intended for professionals based in Eurimages member states which do not have access to the EU Creative Europe-MEDIA distribution programme: Armenia, Georgia, Russian Federation, Switzerland and Turkey.
