61st Cannes Film Festival

Three of the four films which received Eurimages support and were selected in official competition have been awarded the following prizes by the Jury of the 61st Cannes Film Festival:
the Award for the Best Director was given to Nuri Bilge Ceylan for his film "Three Monkeys" ;
the Jury Prize was awarded to the film "Il Divo" by Paolo Sorrentino and
the Award for the Best Screenplay was given to the film "Le silence de Lorna" by Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne.
As for the Directors Fortnight, “Eldorado”, by the Belgian Bouli Lanners, the film received the "Label Europa Cinémas" Prize (awarded for the Best European Film of the Directors Fortnight by a jury composed of theatre exhibitors), the "Regards jeunes" Prize (rewarded by a jury of seven young fans of cinema) and the "Fipresci" Prize (International Federation of Film Critics).
Finally, "Snow", the first feature film signed by the Bosniac Aida Begic, was also a winner by receiving the Grand Prize of the 47th Critic’s Week.

  • Following the decision of the Eurimages Board of Management meeting in 2009 to carry out in 2014 a study on the functioning and results of the Fund, the Olsberg SPI company established in the United Kingdom has just published its report which you will find here. As an independent study, the contents of this document do not bind or commit in any way the Council of Europe and the Eurimages Fund. The Fund’s Board of Management will now study the recommendations proposed by the Olsberg SPI company.

  • From 1 January 2014, the rules for Eurimages Co-production funding have been modified.

  • The 2015 Regulations for the Distribution Support Programme, including the application forms, are now available here!


  • As of 1 January 2015, all applications for Scheme II must be submitted once a year at the first deadline, corresponding to the March meeting, i.e. 15 January 2015.
