EURIMAGES - European Cinema Support Fund

"Etoiles et Toiles" of European Cinema, 8th Edition (11-30 October 2007)

Eurimages and the Council of Europe are happy to asssociate themselves to the Heritage of European Cinema which the "Odyssée" Cinema in Strasbourg is celebrating by honouring 14 films supported by Eurimages.

The jury made up of 7 Ambassadors to the Council of Europe and 2 Representatives of the Council of Europe, chaired by Monsieur Bruno Gain, Ambassador of France to the Council of Europe, awarded 2 honorary prizes on the occasion of the 8th edition of the "Etoiles et Toiles" of European Cinema, exclusively for full-length feature films supported by Eurimages:

- ODYSSEE AWARD – COUNCIL OF EUROPE FOR HUMAN RIGHTS

"Mutluluk – Le Bonheur" by Abdullah Oguz, based on the book "Délivrance" by Zülfü Livaneli, a co-production between Turkey and Greece.

- SPECIAL ODYSSEE AWARD – COUNCIL OF EUROPE FOR ARTISTIC CREATION

"L’Etoile Imaginaire" (La Stella che non c’e) by Gianni Amelio, a co-production between Italy, France, Switzerland and Singapore.

Info for producers

  • Following the decision of the Eurimages Board of Management meeting in 2009 to carry out in 2014 a study on the functioning and results of the Fund, the Olsberg SPI company established in the United Kingdom has just published its report which you will find here. As an independent study, the contents of this document do not bind or commit in any way the Council of Europe and the Eurimages Fund. The Fund’s Board of Management will now study the recommendations proposed by the Olsberg SPI company.

  • From 1 January 2014, the rules for Eurimages Co-production funding have been modified.

  • The 2015 Regulations for the Distribution Support Programme, including the application forms, are now available here!


  • As of 1 January 2015, all applications for Scheme II must be submitted once a year at the first deadline, corresponding to the March meeting, i.e. 15 January 2015.

  • Please note that as from 1 January 2015 the digital equipment support programme will cease to exist.
