European Workshop: „ The European Language Portfolio “ Meißen (Germany), 27 – 29 June 2011

CONTEXT During this workshop, the participants will get to know the European Language Portfolio with its three components (language passport, language biography and dossier of personal work), in connection with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, as a widely recognised instrument of quality development in language teaching on the European level. They will look into good practice examples from primary school and learn how to continue or start this work in the secondary schools. Other issues in the course will lead the participants to appreciate the European Language Portfolio as a tool for developing skills for assessment/ self-assessment and for promoting plurilingualism.
