CONTEXT
The workshop is targeting a large group of education professionals (teachers, teacher trainers, curriculums developers, representatives of NGOs active in the teaching of history, etc). It will explore the development of the teaching of history as a means to promoting identity and understanding. During the training session, the participants will be given an insight into the different aspects of culture in the United Kingdom and how this is taught in schools and they will share and exchange views/experience on engaging young people with alternative ways of teaching history. Finally opportunities will be given to the participants for collaborative activity after the workshop.
