24 - 26 May 2012, Cluj (Romania)

In Cluj (Romania), journalism trainers, journalists, media educators… built a real and certainly a useful dialogue for the rest of Europe
The 3rd MARS National Media Encounter – Journalism & Media Training & Literacy co-organised by Media Animation and Active Watch – Media Monitoring Agency has been held at the Faculty of Political Sciences of Babes-Bolyai University from 24 to 26 May 2012. Around 35 participants coming from journalism, journalism training and media literacy succeeded to find the basis of two completed journalism training modules conceiving diversity and non discrimination as standard angles of media coverage; Babes-Bolyai University has committed to finalize these modules in order to implement them next September 2012. For MARS, these Romanians are so good!
Objective
To allow trainers and educators to develop and to have access to pedagogical and methodological tools for journalism training and media literacy in order to allow journalism students and journalists to considering non discrimination and expression of diversity as an ongoing angle of media coverage.
