In 2010 the Republic of Cyprus celebrated 50 Years of Independence. The EHDs
were dedicated to this anniversary by presenting the cultural heritage policies undertaken by the Government as well as their historical evolution since 1960. Moreover, heritage achievements of both the public and the private sectors
were presented in means of an exhibition and a special publication. Thus, the usual practice of guided tours in monuments and sites were not organized in 2010.
