Description

On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, visitors have access free of charge to the most important monuments in the country:

- the State Museum (Palazzo Pergami Belluzzi);

- the Public Palace;

- The First Tower;

- Museum of ancient arms situated in the Second Tower;

- The San Francesco Museum.

As regards cross-border activities, today about 150 weapons from the San Marino State Museum are exhibited at the Castle of St Leo and the Castle of Rocca Petrosa in Ancona.

History classes on coats of arms, pedagogical activities on archaeology, civic education, and devoted to the history of San Marino and its institutions are organised throughout the school year, from October to June.

In the summer, training courses are proposed to San Marino secondary school pupils and university students to learn about the museums' collections, going into more detail about the history of the objects exhibited and to discover different parts of the territory through the places where exhibitions and monument are situated. The intention is to train museum operators willing to satisfy the curiosity and cultural interests and reply to the questions of tourists take place.
