2nd Cultural routes summer seminar, 24-28 June, Selinunte, Sicily
Again in the framework of cooperation with the European Commission, as part of the Third Joint Programme on Cultural Routes, the Council of Europe’s Cultural Routes Summer Seminar will take place during the last week in June.
At their first seminar in Strasbourg in 2012, the routes decided that the annual seminar would be hosted each year by a different route in a significant location; Selinunte, centre of the Phoenicians’ route in Sicily, was chosen among six candidates.
This year, the first part of the week will be especially devoted to candidates for Council of Europe certification and the second part will be set aside for certified routes managers, with one day of shared discussions and workshops.
The seminar will be the first opportunity to use the handbook on cultural routes design and management.
